Harmonia Mundi, one of the oldest record labels in France, and Chateau La Grace Dieu des Prieurs announce a Partnership Agreement. According to the Agreement, Harmonia Mundi’s album «24 Preludes» by Sergei Rachmaninov, performed by the world-famous pianist Nikolai Lugansky, will be included in a unique gift box containing the best Art Russe Saint-Emilion Grand Cru vintages. The Limited Edition Art Russe gift box series with a visionary design will be unveiled in May 2018.

The album with 24 preludes for piano by Sergey Rachmaninov, performed by the People’s Artist of Russia, laureate of the Sergei Rachmaninov International Award, pianist Nikolai Lugansky has been released in the year of Harmonia Mundi’s 60th anniversary. It represents the first project in the framework of collaboration between the label and the musician, recognized as one of the best performers of Sergei Rachmaninov’s works in the world. In March 2018, the CD «24 Preludes» received the prestigious «Le Diapason d’Or» award from the leading French music magazine «Diapason».

Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943), conductor, virtuoso pianist and composer who united the principles of the Moscow and St. Petersburg schools of musical composition, created his own unique style and exerted a tremendous influence on development of the twentieth century music around the world. Created in 1892-1910, the 24 Preludes for Piano cycle is recognized as one of the greatest symbols of the Russian piano tradition.

The perfection of Rachmaninov’s music and the virtuoso performance of Nikolai Lugansky inspired Chateau La Grace Dieu des Prieurs for a partnership project with Harmonia Mundi. The album «24 Preludes» will become a part of a unique Art Russe Saint-Emilion Grand Cru gift box.

Partnership with Harmonia Mundi opens a new page in the history of Chateau La Grace Dieu des Prieurs and is at the same time an extension of a joint project with the Art Russe Foundation, aimed at raising international awareness of Russian fine arts. Beginning in 2017, the Foundation, which owns a large collection of Russian paintings and sculptures from the late 19th and the 20th centuries, annually makes 12 works from its collection available for the St. Emilion estate’s wine label design.

The release of the new Art Russe Saint-Emilion Grand Cru gift box is scheduled for late May 2018. The box will include outstanding vintages of Chateau La Grace Dieu des Prieurs. The new format will allow connoisseurs to enjoy Art Russe wines, as well as works of outstanding Russian painters and music of a great Russian composer. Original leather casing for the gift box was custom-developed by the French company WildCat for Chateau La Grace Dieu des Prieurs.

«We are grateful to Harmonia Mundi and the wonderful Russian musician Nikolai Lugansky for the unique opportunity to unite the greatest arts of Russia and France in a single project , said Andrey Filatov, owner of Chateau La Grace Dieu des Prieurs. Cooperation with Harmonia Mundi supports our aspiration to maximally expand the audience for Russian cultural heritage and to acquaint the international public with the diversity of Russian art. A concert of Nikolai Lugansky in St. Emilion, scheduled for the summer of 2018, will represent the next step in our new project».
