Andrei Filatov has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Sputnik V vaccine

President of the Russian Chess Federation, entrepreneur and owner of Chateau La Grace Dieu des Prieurs Andrei Filatov has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Sputnik V vaccine developed by Russia.
Andrei Filatov received the first dose at the end of December 2020, followed by the second dose last Sunday. Mr. Filatov emphasized that he had consulted doctors and health experts prior to vaccination.

On August 11, 2020, Russia became the first country in the world to register a coronavirus vaccine based on a human adenoviral vector platform. Named after the first Soviet space satellite, the vaccine was developed by the Russian Health Ministry Gamaleya National Research Centre for Epidemiology and Microbiology. The launch of Sputnik-1 took place on October 4, 1957, giving new impetus to space exploration throughout the world.
